The CCC Legacy Fund: Supporting the Next Generation of Stories

"Relax. Be serious about your goals, but enjoy life. Success has many interpretations. The only one that counts is yours." - Cecelia C Caruso, Writer, Genealogist, Family Historian

My Mother, Cecelia C. Caruso, spent her life as a genealogist and family historian. She understood a fundamental truth: a story unrecorded and unpreserved is a legacy at risk. She taught me that our history is held in our hands, in our voices, and in the courage it takes to write it down.

In honor of her life and the launch of my book, Holding Time: In the Middle of Always - the somatic practice that was the vehicle for writing our mother-daughter story - I am building an Army of Stories. While my work focuses on preserving the legacy of mothers and daughters today, this fund is dedicated to the future.

We are partnering with Girls Write Now to support mentorship and writing resources to the next generation of female storytellers. When we fund a young writer, we aren't just helping her find her voice, we are ensuring that her legacy is never lost.

Your contribution directly supports the mentors, workshops, and publishing opportunities that turn a young woman's experience into an enduring legacy.

Thank you for helping us support their future - our future.

The Founding Inspiration

In Honor of Cecelia C. Caruso

The Army of Stories began long before its name was ever thought of or spoken. It began with the life’s work of our First Historian: my mother, Cecelia Caruso.

A devoted genealogist and storyteller, she spent decades documenting the voices of the women who came before her. She understood that our history is not a static set of notes, but a long winding road, alive with struggles, victories, and lessons. To her, understanding where we come from is the only way to truly understand ourselves.  By looking back at the road behind us, we find the strength to carve the path in front of us.

Though she focused on the light and the resilience of our family history, she left us the map we needed to navigate the shadows. The CCC initials at the heart of our logo are a permanent tribute to her spirit—the root from which this community grows.

Every story shared here, every somatic release, is a continuation of her mission. We carry her torch to ensure that no woman’s story is ever treated as an inconvenience, and no legacy is ever erased.

She cleared the road.  Now, we march.
