Two Day Retreat
“Welcome to your retreat! I’m so happy you’re here. Below you’ll find everything you need to have a beautiful & transformative two days. Enjoy!” - Laura
Introduction
Watch this video before the first day of your retreat.
Here you’ll find instructions for how to set up your days, recommended supplies and how to use them, and more!
What you’ll need…
-
Everything is optional, but I have some recommendations for your day.
First, I recommend that you find a space that you can dedicate to your retreat for the day - especially the yoga classes. A separate room would be perfect, but if that is not possible, a space set aside just for your practice.
Prepare your space by making sure that it is clean and clear of clutter before the day of your retreat. Clean space = clean mind.
Essential oils can enhance your experience. If you have not worked with oils before, they are a lovely way to add aroma therapy to your retreat. I’ll provide specific recommendations in the introduction video above. You may also want to get a starter kit, purchased separately (not available through LSea Yoga). This essential oil guide may also be helpful.
For the evening practice, you may want to add candles (I recommend flameless candles - it sets the same mood, and it’s much safer!)
Props: traditional yoga props include a strap, a block or two, blankets, meditation cushion, and a bolster. And of course, a mat. But if you do not have those traditional props, blankets, pillows, books, and a belt for the strap will work just fine.
-
I’ve provided an area on this page that will contain recipes and lists of items you’ll need. I’ve prepared two options for each meal, a total of six recipes and the necessary ingredients. You can also find the grocery list here.
-
Your free gift with the purchase of this retreat is a PDF version of the LSea Yoga Dream Big Journal. I’ve created a version that you can download and print, then place into a three ring binder for safe keeping if you choose to do so. You may also choose to purchase the hardcover Dream Big Journal - if so, please use the following discount code in my Shop to receive 15% off: 1DAYRETREAT15
You may also choose to journal free form instead, so you may want to bring your own blank journal.
-
You’ll choose your morning and afternoon activities and may need supplies for that. You could take a nap, read a good book, go for a walk, take a bath, meditate, write, or anything else you’d like to do. I’ve provided a list of suggestions below. If there is anything you want to buy or prepare for your chosen activity, you’ll want to do that in advance.
-
I highly recommend reading on the day of your retreat, and I’ve provided a recommended reading list below. Of course, if you have something else you’d like to dive into, whether it is yoga related or just a great novel, go for it - this is your day…
Set your intention
Before the day of your retreat, put some thought into what your intention will be, and write it down.
A retreat is a great time to reset, rethink, or work on a problem. Your retreat could be a simple escape, or it could be the beginning of a dramatic change. It could be simple time in the quiet, with your yoga and your thoughts. It could be setting a vision for your future. The possibilities for your intention are endless. Think of what you want to get out of the day…make it achievable…then write it down.
The worksheet provided below should get you started…
