Two Day Retreat

“Welcome to your retreat! I’m so happy you’re here. Below you’ll find everything you need to have a beautiful & transformative two days. Enjoy!” - Laura

Introduction

Watch this video before the first day of your retreat.

Here you’ll find instructions for how to set up your days, recommended supplies and how to use them, and more!

What you’ll need…

Set your intention

Before the day of your retreat, put some thought into what your intention will be, and write it down.

A retreat is a great time to reset, rethink, or work on a problem. Your retreat could be a simple escape, or it could be the beginning of a dramatic change. It could be simple time in the quiet, with your yoga and your thoughts. It could be setting a vision for your future. The possibilities for your intention are endless. Think of what you want to get out of the day…make it achievable…then write it down.

The worksheet provided below should get you started…

Stack of yoga and philosophy books on a white table, with a small brass Ganesha statue and a clock to the left.

Your Retreat Schedule

*Before your first retreat day, be sure to watch the Introduction video above, and set your intention using the worksheet provided.

Suggested times for each activity are provided below, but this is your retreat and you may change whatever you like.

Wake. Before rising out of bed, remember your intention, and reaffirm it to start your day.

Take a little time to stretch.

Smile, and know this is going to be a beautiful, and transformative day.

  • Create a vision board (using a cork board or similar, print and clip images of what you want to manifest: meaningful words of intent as well as experiences and accomplishments - to be displayed where you’ll see it often, and be reminded of your goals and aspirations)

  • Write a story, or a poem

  • Journal, using any paper or blank journal of your choice

    • A beautiful exercise to get you going could be to write down everything that you are grateful for in this life. Everything. Large, small, living or inanimate. For this list….go long.

    • Write a letter to your future self.

  • Dry brush, scrub, or maybe massage.

  • Take a relaxing bath - try soothing music, flameless candles, and essential oils

  • Take a nap - if you are a napper, you may want to take this time to catch up on some well deserved rest

  • Dance! Talk about tension release! Put on your favorite music and just start to move, like you did when you were younger - let go and get loose!

  • Listen to music

  • Meditate or pray - today may be a perfect time to re-affirm your faith, or go deeper with your spiritual practice

  • Give yourself a facial and/or mani/pedi

  • As you choose from the activities above, both for your morning down time and your afternoon, make time to do nothing. Don’t try to do too many items on this list, be selective, and then give yourself the gift of sitting and reflecting, and just plain relaxing
